Senior researcher and data analyst
Ikechukwu’s role is to conduct research and carry out data analysis focusing on power sector forecasting and data analytics.
He supports the data team by providing data and insights that enable clients to understand African power markets and make informed decisions about market segments they could invest in. The data provide a concise and fit-for-purpose information on the power market landscape in relation to policy and electricity supply.
Ikechukwu joined African Energy in 2024 and has been contributing to the provisions of research and data services to various organisations (public and private). Prior to joining African Energy, he worked on a sub-project in a European Commission (EC) research project in the blue economy and the international development sector in Africa.
Ikechukwu completed a master’s degree in economics at the University Bayreuth, Germany (2016 ), and an advanced study programme in international macroeconomics and policy research at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Germany.
