We are pleased to announce a new membership scheme and events schedule, designed to help Africa's energy stakeholders at all stages of the project and investment lifecycle.
The Africa Investment Exchange (AIX) membership programme is a year-round forum for trusted debate and curated insight.
Exclusive data and insights
The programme builds on a series of AIX webinars held in response to the brutal impact of the coronavirus pandemic on travel and traditional networking channels.
The programme includes:
- Online panel-led discussions and roundtables – held like all AIX meetings under the Chatham House Rule.
- Factsheets based on the latest African Energy power sector research.
- Exclusive insights from African Energy Live Data – a comprehensive database of more than 6,700 generation projects and plants, and the organisations behind them.
- Q&A sessions with African Energy’s analysts on the latest research and trends.
Members will have the opportunity to shape and contribute to meetings and network with each other via the AIX online membership hub.
All AIX members will have unlimited access for their staff to online meetings. This is because we recognise that trusted sources of information, networking and exchange of ideas are important for your colleagues across a variety of teams and projects.
AIX members receive 50%-off tickets to our in-person AIX meetings. This includes the 17-18 November flagship AIX: Power & Renewables meeting – this year held in London and online as a hybrid event.
Ensuring a diverse range of voices are heard
Supported by a network of on-the-ground sources across the continent, African Energy’s staff have always taken great care to ensure that a diverse range of opinions and voices are heard. The AIX membership programme is no different.
AIX membership – as well as tickets for in-person meetings – is free for Africa-based SMEs, utilities, regulators and public sector officials.
“Many professionals know the AIX offering through engagement with our specialist meetings. People at our AIX meetings tend to talk more freely than at a standard commercial conference, leveraging the high-level ‘think tank’ atmosphere,” says Jon Marks, founder of African Energy and chairman of parent company Cross-border Information (CbI). “Membership is intended to bring the AIX community even closer to this resource.”
